Andy KleinParticipant
In case some of you are feeling like you are in the movie Ground Hog Day, rest easy: Andy sent virtually the identical message about Winick’s new-found expert status last year on almost this exact same date. I have replicated it below for league historians to study:
In a message dated 1/17/2005 4:20:58 PM Central Standard Time, anrklein@yahoo.com writes:
So I finally find a fantasy baseball magazine at the store — “Fantasy Baseball Guide: Professional Edition”. It has the standard fare: player profiles, dollar values, and expert advice.
Then, as I’m working my way through the columns, what do I see? Jeff Winick’s name on the column bylines!!
Kerber — you and I beat an “expert” last year! The rest of you better plunk down your $6.95 and figure out what to do for 2005.

Andy KleinParticipantGreat quote! Does anyone remember former Cub (and current Astro) announcer Milo Hamilton? He used to say things like that all the time. Similar to A.J., I remember him once opining that “you won’t win many games if you don’t score any runs, good kid.”

PS: Go Nick Markakis!
Andy KleinParticipantThis is clearly someone engaging in biological warfare against the Klein Nine. I’d blame Blocker (who owns Sheffield), but I don’t want to insult him while he still has Ichiro on his roster …
Andy KleinParticipantDamn. That was harsh, Kerber …
