Rocco Baldelli got hurt? No way! Next you're going to tell me Chris Snelling went down with a knee injury.

...and with Rocco Baldelli likely out for the season and no one willing to overpay for prospect Philip Hughes, or Jeff Clement for that matter, the Berliners will not be buyers this year and very well could outdump the Nukes no less....expect a two team race: Hoosiers v. Daddies. That's it.

Dear Rich:
As it impacts dump trade talks with the Berliners, the answer is "yes." He wanted Street, not Ray. I'm sorry for both of you. This also means that the Bombers and their JoBo are back in the fray. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Regards,
BLJ

Street placed on 15-day DL KEY ?

 Huston Street - RP, Athletics May 15, 5:58 p.m.
Street was placed on the 15-day disabled list with irritation in his right ulnar nerve, the team's website reports. The move is retroactive to May 13.
Fantasy Source spin: Nothing quite like DL stints that come with no warning. Anytime you hear about an elbow injury for a pitcher, you get real concerned. It was not immediately known how long Street will be out, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's out longer than the minimum. Who closes in Street's place is somewhat in question, since Justin Duchscherer is having hip problems. If it's not Duchscherer, Kiko Calero probably would get a look. (Roger Kuznia/SN)
