I think 30 is close enough.? We will have had three weeks of MLB transactions and lots of roster churn between Draft Day and Opening Day.? Lots of teams are going to have holes to fill.? No reason to make them wait a full reporting period to be able to do that.

I guess that makes sense if the pool would still include players who are essentially minor leaguers. But we still need to set a "reporting period" so we can adjust our rosters with activate/reserve moves.?
