[USML Announce] Draft Date/Trade

We really do need to nail down the draft date.
 
I suspect we're going to need to seriously consider an evening draft with
some phoning in.

I figure no news is not good news on the draft date front.  Just checking in
since the sooner we get this nailed down the better.
 
More importantly, although the all important Baseball America Top 100 isn't
yet out, Keith Law of ESPN.com has released his top 100 prospect list and I
wanted to make sure that people fully appreciated the kind of talent that
I'm making available:
 
Justin Smoak - #9
Jesus Montero - #10
Brian Matusz - #11
Neftali Feliz - #13
Aaron Hicks - #19
Eric Hosmer - #34
Lars Anderson - #56
Mike Moustakas - #69
Jake Arrieta - #90
Grant Green - #93
 
Baseball HQ also has its top 100 prospects list out.  Here's where these
same guys line up on that list:
 
Justin Smoak - #5
Jesus Montero - #3
Brian Matusz - #9
Neftali Feliz - #10
Aaron Hicks - #54
Eric Hosmer - #27

Are you sensing a pattern?  And remember that these are top 100 lists that
include NL players.  
 
And, yes, I can hear Brad Lee in the background advising everyone that I'll
have to let some of these guys go.  Maybe so, but do you really think a
single one of them slips past the $10 rounds?  And check out their salaries:

Matusz - $2 (Full disclosure - contract is running)
Feliz - $2
Hicks - $5
Hosmer - $2
Anderson - $5
Moustakas - $10
Arrieta - $5
Green - $5
 
And if your tastes don't run to minor leaguers, take a look at the rest of
my roster.  Would you like to build around Arod?  At $32, you definitely
wouldn't get him for that at the draft.  Are you a White Sox fan?  How about
the soon to be 2nd base eligible Gordon Beckham at $15?  Like young
pitchers?  Rick Porcello at $5 should be intriguing.  And there's more where
they came from.
