Not so simple.

Mark Blocker is a very good friend of mine.
Mark Blocker, the Packer fan, on the other hand........

I can watch a Packer game on TV and not really care one way or the other who wins as long as it doesn't have major implications for the Bears.  But were I in a crowd of Packers fans, I'd be rooting against the Packers with gusto.

I honestly don't hate the Packers or the Vikings.  I am a Bears fan.  I don't need to hate any other teams to root on my own.  
Sorta like Cubs and White Sox fans.  I love the Cubs and am completely indifferent about the Sox.  I do hate Sox fans, though.  That is opposed to jealous Sox fans who hate the Cubs.  Never really understood it.
