I've revised my travel plans so I can be available on April 10 if need be
too.

That means I'm OK for April 4, 10, and 11.

I will be out of town at a family wedding the weekend of March 20.
I will be out of town on vacation with my family the weekend of March 27 and
don't return until Saturday, April 3.
I can be available Sunday April 4 -- but that's Easter Sunday.
I leave town again for a conference the following week and will return on
Saturday April 10.
I can be available Sunday April 11.

I'm happy enough with the current stat service.

League:

Now that we have all enjoyed watching The Gunslinger blow up the Vikings'
Super Bowl chances, its time to start planning for the 2010 USML season. I
am assuming all teams are returning for the 2010 season, but let me know if
that is not correct.

We have two items to address right away: (1) setting a draft date and (2)
choosing a stat service. Some comments on each of these.

1. Draft date: Opening day of the MLB season is listed on mlb.com as
Sunday, April 4, which is also Easter. The first night of Passover is
Tuesday, March 30. It appears we have three weekends we can choose from:
the weekends of (a) March 20/21, (b) March 27/28, or (c) April 3/4. We have
not done a draft after opening day in quite some time, but I suppose we
could also look at the weekend of April 9/10. Please send a response to
this e-mail with your availability on each of those dates. I will tally the
responses and see if we can find a date that works decently (notice I did
not say perfectly) for everyone.

2. Stat service: It seems like every year we re-visit the issue of which
stat service to use, and we have switched in search of greener pastures. My
own view is that the onroto service that we used last year was quite good,
and that we should NOT switch stat services this year. One word of caution
here: my trips to the onroto.com site have not revealed any signs that they
are actively preparing for the 2010 season, which gives me some pause, but
assuming the website is operational, I vote to stay. Let me know what your
views are by return e-mail.

I will have some other issues we may want to address in the near future,
but these two items are priority. Please respond by e-mail as soon as you
can.
