Well, as pleased as I am to hear that things aren't as bad as they appeared, it's hardly cause for celebration.

Mr. D is relieved that his hip problems seem to be identical to those he suffered through last year rather than something new. Okay, but he didn't really pitch last year as a consequence of those problems. How exactly is that good news?

Mr. Bailey didn't tear anything, rather he's merely suffering from a "strain". Okay, that's better than was feared but his prognosis is presently undefined and he's out indefinitely. Probably good news for the second year of his extended contract, but not so good for that first one.

But Casper Wells - yep, no question he's hitting the tar out of the ball in spring training. There's real potential that he's this year's Brennan Boesch. Then again, I don't recall that being a particularly good thing.

Okay - done throwing cold water on the prohibitive favorite for the crown. Back to trying to catch him.

Brad Lee - what's it going to take to get my Wood back? And Mr. B - unlike the competition that is no doubt pitching un-germinated beans, I've got some nice young REAL ball players that would look awfully good on a 2012 Bomber squad. You know where to find me.
