Yankees manager Joe Girardi confirmed after Ivan Nova's start Friday
that the right-hander has earned a spot in the team's rotation.
Hardly a surprise, but at least we have some confirmation. Nova has
been arguably the Yankees' best starter this spring, boasting a 1.80
ERA. He'll slot in as the No. 4 starter, with the No. 5 spot most
likely to be occupied by Freddy Garcia.

WINNER: Berliners add yet another ace to their stud farm already
occupied by Verlander and Lester. With Thornton tabbed as Pale Hose
closer, these Berliners'  fortunes continue to SHINE BRIGHTLY.

LOSER: Bombers have little hope of catching Trout in dump deal unless
Berliners stumble early, but that Berliners'  roster looks
unstoppable, even without adding slugger Mark Reynolds. Bombers
