    Having experienced an October surprise from Winick a few years ago, I was saying a 

couple of weeks ago that this thing wasn't over.  My money would still be on Mr. Fruit, but 

the odds are tightening.  Kerber is well-placed to pick up a couple more points, so John's 

boys are going to have to come through this last week.
