[USML Announce] A Question about the 2013 USML Champion Red Hots

Actually, upon further consideration, I recognize that you likely won't need to trade because you won't have messed up at the draft. Assuming that turns out to be the case (and it's hard to imagine that anyone could screw up enough at the draft to spoil this team) all that will be left is the official coronation.

So, Mr. K., what's it going to take to get Verlander? I want to be in the strongest position possible for that 2nd place finish.

Jeff

Yu never know what I will offer interested teams -- assuming of course that I don't need to dump after the draft because I messed up.

That explains it. I assume he's the bait he'll be offering you for Verlander. Of course, even with his Stanford connections, I'm not sure a $10 National League to-be bean is going to have too much appeal. But heaven knows you've made worse trades.

If he's at Stanford, he's mine anyway. Rich gets the Golden Bears.

That's right, and this cannot currently be corrected. My hunch is onroto will update it once he finally lands.

Because OnRoto has it wrong. He was drafted by the Pirates, failed to sign, and remains in college, a proud Stanford Cardinal.

He's just a college kid.

First ... congrats, Rich. No way you could mess up on draft day enough to avoid victory this year. But one question. Why does your 2013 championship entitle you to keep a minor leaguer who as listed as part of the Pittsburgh system?
