I don't even remember a pre-season trade offer. What was it? Is there still time to say "yes"? Geez, I've had seven guys on the DL already, and two of them are out for the season. At this rate, I won't be able to field a team by the all star break.

Ivan Nova - torn elbow ligament. Wonder who's next?

It seems to me there's really only one option here. The curse was placed when Kerber disrespected my pre-season trade offer announcement. I'm prepared to give him a second chance.

The Berliners are going nowhere in 2014. There was simply too much talent traded away last year (e.g. Springer, Tanaka, Myers, Hosmer, Taijuan Walker) So, the team is looking to rebuild for 2015. At the risk of once again arousing Kerber's disdain (but with hope that he now recognizes the danger of disrespecting the Berliners), I hereby announce that the store is open.

Need a shortstop? How about Asdrubel Cabrera $18
Need a second baseman? How about Brian Dozier at $8 (5 home runs and 5 stolen bases already)
Need an outfielder? How about Shin Soo Choo ($36), Yoenis Cespedes ($29) or Desmond Jennings ($15)
Need a first baseman? Adam Dunn is hitting well, is guranteed power and is a mere $3.

And I've got plenty of pitching:

Mark Buehrle - leading baseball in ERA for $1.
Justin Verlander - he's baaack and only $32.
Jake Peavy is healthy and sporting an ERA of less than 2.00 for a mere $9.
Casey Janssen is on the DL but scheduled back in 2 weeks for $10.

You know where to find me. I'm interested in young talent and/or shedding Mr. Moore and his recently operated upon elbow.

Jeff
