With the trading deadline looming and the race as hot as a pistol, every little bit helps.


None of the following look too exciting at first blush, but each could be the difference in the race since they're all producing (and some of them at cheap salaries).  A decent prospect could net you some backbench strength or some roster flexibility.


Sean Rodriguez (1,2,3,S,O)($5 and he's hitting home runs)
Juan Francisco (1,3)(lots of power)
Steve Pearce (1,O)($6 - .296 and hitting home runs)
Carlos Santana (catcher eligible and he could have a monster 2nd half)
David Dejesus (O)($5, full time player and coming back soon)


Yohan Pino ($9, about to be recalled and pitching great)
Bryan Shaw ($5, great ratios and getting vulture wins)
Matt Schoemaker ($5, scuffling lately but could contribute down the stretch)
Brad Peacock ($15 - he's pitching really well)
Aaron Loup ($5 - cheap vulture wins and his ratios are solid)
