[USML Announce] Baseball news - radio clip

Buffalo dogs, beef smokies and polish sausages. All on the grill with generous portions of grilled onions. And, Hot Doug's sausages, as well.

No WS flag (yet), but also no need to watch batters fail away at curve balls. Javy will almost certainly be starting the season on the bench. Can't say the same about Adam "Cock" laRoche. (Admittedly not PC, but if Berman hasn't used it yet, he needs to.)

Do you have polish sausages on the grill with grilled onions? What about a WS flag I can look at to warm my heart when I watch Adam LaRoche flail at curve balls the way Javy Baez does?

Doug,

Consider this your invitation to sit with me in the good seats. Name the time and I’ll show you what a real ballpark looks like (and a real baseball team to boot).

No need to sit with the college boys in the bleachers.

And one where stepping in a 22 year old's puke is part of the experience.

Well said, Mr. K.

At one ballpark you drink a shot at a neighborhood bar before you go in. At the other ballpark you run the risk of getting shot before you go in.

Add the location of the ballpark, which I would have had at the top of the list. That's a huge difference, and it has been for several decades now. Great neighborhood versus a nondescript quasi-neighborhood squeezed up against an expressway.

Does anyone really wonder why the Pale Hose are ignored. Here are some interesting facts that help enlighten the ignorant:

1.      They have had losing records in 6 of the 10 seasons since the anomaly of 2005 (that’s the same as the Cubs, if you’re keeping track);
2.      As bad as the Cubs have been recently, the Sox have been worse.  Over the last three seasons, the Sox have lost 99, then 89 and then 86 games (the Cubs have lost 96, then 89 and then 65 games);
3.      The Sox play in possibly the worst ballpark in all of major league baseball (excepting only Tropicana Field and maybe the Oakland County Coliseum);
4.      The Sox are, I believe, the only team in baseball that has had fans arrested for beating up an umpire on the field;
5.      Besides Chris Sale and Jose Abreu (and now Todd Frazier), who is there to root for among the collection of garbage that they trot out as a team?;
6. The Cubs play in the best division in baseball and will be the favorite; the Sox play in one of the worst divisions in baseball and won’t be favored.

I could go on and on, but I think the point has been made.

Yes, one team has won a World Series in the last 10 or so years and it ain't the one you're rooting for brother

I know you guys won't believe this, but I heard a local sports talk radio show today in which they were actually discussing the White Sox and their off-season moves. I thought this was a one-team town like Oakland?
