League:

A reminder; we will hold the USML Draft on Sunday, March 21, starting at
8:00 am CT. The draft will be held remotely. This email provides the
remaining deadlines and some logistical items. Please review.

Deadlines: Here are the three upcoming pre-draft deadlines.

3/14 at 5:00 pm CT -- Deadline to submit freeze rosters
3:14 at 7:00 pm CT -- Auction draft dry-run (more info below)
3/17 at 5:00 p.m. -- Deadline for free drops.

Logistics: The draft "room" will consist of a Zoom meeting room. The
link for that Zoom room will be sent the week of the draft. Because it will
be difficult to hear/monitor bids via Zoom, we are going to use a free
website service called Fantrax to run the auction. Some of us have used or
previewed the site, and it seems suited to our needs. You input your bids
by clicking or (more rarely) entering numbers, and it runs in a similar
fashion to eBay.

To acclimate people to using the Fantrax system, we are going to hold a
short dry run next Sunday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. If you can make it please
attend. In order to use the Fantrax site, you will need to sign up for an
account at Fantrax. You should receive an email with an invite later
today, and that should take you directly to our league. To conduct the
dry-run, we will meet by Zoom and simulate the draft for a modest number of
players. The Zoom link for that will be sent out shortly.

Important: to set up the Zoom calls, please respond to this by indicating
what email address should receive the Zoom invite. The Fantrax invite will
go to the email you currently use for the Onroto system, but you can choose
a different email address for Zoom.

Feel free to email me or call my cell if you have questions. I recognize
this is way more complicated than in the past, but I am confident we will
be able to make this work. Let's just hope this is the last time our draft
has to be held entirely remotely.
