Your math is sound, but I see nothing to suggest Rocker does not go #1.

I did see that, though I confess that I didn’t understand why it would be, as you say, “more complicated”.  That one seemed pretty easy to me.

And I know it’s been a while since I finished basic math classes, but 1+4 is 5….not 6.  I’ll bet you lunch that Leiter goes #1.

Jeff: Note that I said I think McLain is qualified to be drafted, so I am agreeing with you, and just confirming.  Note that he would have to go four picks after Leiter to end up at #6.

I will send a note to Onroto about Workman and #6.

1.       Kristian Robinson is with the Diamondback organization.  He is definitely not rosterable.

2.       Gage Workman is eligible and his omission from the database is undoubtedly reflective of his worth.

3.       Mat McLain is eligible unless there is a new and bizarre interpretation of the rules that you intend to follow.  It certainly can’t be the case that a player previously drafted and unsigned by an NL team is ineligible for the USML.  And for what it’s worth, Arizona doesn’t pick until 6.  Leiter is expected to go #1 (or Rocker) and then the next four picks are by AL teams.  I like my chances that he’ll be in the AL.

League:

  All of the rosters have now been entered in the Onroto site.  I still have much clean-up to be done, but feel free to help with that effort by pointing out any errors. I did my best on Y0 v Y1, but comments welcome in particular on that issue.

  Three players are not in the database.  Here are my notes.  Feel free to add/respond before I email Onroto.

1.  Kristian Robinson (Calamari):  He appears to be on the Arizona Diamondbacks so was not eligible to be drafted.  Agreed?

2.  Gage Workman (Lubeasts):  Confirmed on Detroit, but not in the database.  I will have him added.

3.  Mat McLain (Berliners):  More complicated.  He is in the database but listed on the Diamondbacks.  Apparently he was drafted by Arizona two years ago but did not sign, so he is MLB draft eligible again.  Humorous sidenote: the Arizona press seems to think the Diamondbacks will draft him again, and they are positioned early enough to do so!  I think he qualifies to be drafted in our rotation draft, but let me know if you disagree. I will have to ask Onroto to change his team affiliation to FA so he appears in the AL database if so.
