However, we had these rules before we had onroto, and it was only when we went to onroto that the FAAB auction was run automatically with results available on Sunday at 12:01. In the pre-onroto days, I do not recall that an owner could submit a FAAB bid that said: $50 on X, and if acquired, trade him to Team A. We just compared bids, announced the winners, and then executed whatever contingency instructions were given. </SPAN></div>

Also, I always thought the whole point behind the timing of the trade deadline (first period after the MLB deadline) was to allow trading in the wake of the MLB activity). If you can't trade someone you're purchased, that doesn't work very well. But, as you all know, I always interpret the rules to allow more transactions rather than fewer.</SPAN></div>
