Adding Kinsler to a roster that has included Keppinger and/or Izturis for long stretches seems like a good thing too.</div>

<div>Take off your Sox goggles, Brad. Keppinger's a 33-year-old career .280 hitter with neither speed nor power. He's been a full-time player in two seasons out of a 10-year career. Oh, and he's teetering toward complete uselessness this year. You're right about Floyd and Appel, though. In the end, I think Appel's probably the only potential keeper in the pile, because at least he can be stashed on the reserve roster until he's up. On the other hand, Rich didn't get much out of the deal either. If he rosters both Kinsler and Porcello, he'll have $44 of cap space tied up in a B infielder and a dicey starter.</div>
