<span style="background-color:yellow">He projects to become a middle-of-the-order bat with mammoth power.</span> Yet that power comes with a decent BA, a willingness to draw a walk, which boosts his on-base ability, and an acceptable strikeout rate considering what else he brings to the table. Over two seasons (before and after his surgery) spent at Double-A, during which he had 474 ABs, he hit 34 HRs and 33 doubles (a .302 ISO).
<span style="background-color:yellow">The BA might be middling for this year, but 10-15 HRs in the second half are quite possible</span> if he gets the playing time. In five minor-league seasons, Sano has put up a batting line of .279/.373/.564 in 1616 AB.
