The Famous Lee Elia Rant. It’s like the Kennedy assassinations: I’ll never forget where I was when the news hit. I was leaving from Friedman & Koven that afternoon, when a buddy picked me up and we drove around in his car, listening to the radio stations replay that tirade, unfortunately with all the bleeps.
Can one of my league brethren set the stage for Brother Dennis, who was not around at the time? Better yet, can someone post a link to the unbleeped rant? A true baseball classic. I wish Elia had managed the Sox (actually played a little for ’em in ’66, I think….).
