Mark KerberParticipant
Style note: Please remember that “The Man” requires initial caps.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantI don’t understand why this was not your intent. I hereby accuse the Red Hots and the Riptorns of a conspiracy!
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantKris must must have been pretty impressive in the home opener–if you know what I mean, and I think you do.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantI guess this means the parking lot at Camden Yards won’t get christened after all.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantThanks for completing the thought.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantAndy:
I can’t believe you fell for such an obvious head fake. You probably also don’t realize that Winick Pan Ben Broussard is sitting at the top of Winick’s sleeper list. And speed burner Joey Gathright is on Winick’s gotta have list.
And, Jeff, Konerko’s landed safely in Chicago, where he’ll be hitting in front of Jim Thome, so we can all breathe a sigh of relief on that one.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantI just showed this string to Karen. She thinks we’ve taken this Fantasy Baseball thing a bit too far.
Mark
Mark KerberParticipant1. I wouldn’t do that. Maybe if we were talking about a hitting prospect, but a pitching prospect would seldom be worth it.
2. An expert is someone who was right once. But I’m going to buy the magazine anyway. (Q: Will Winick’s picks and pans be his real ones, or just his publicly available misinformation?)
Mark
Mark KerberParticipantWinick IS an expert! He kicked Patton’s butt. (And I kicked his butt, so I’m a freakin’ genius.) But, whose magazine is this? Not the Sporting News one, I take it. I gotta have a copy.
Mark
P.S. Jeff: Glad to see you’re getting some mileage out of all that misspent time and effort.
Mark KerberParticipantHey, Ronnie jokes about it all the time.

If Ron Santo is elected to the HOF — he will replace Luis Aparicio as the shortest inductee — just food for thought
With or without the prosthetics?
Mark KerberParticipantWas it Yogi or Casey that said, “You can observe a lot, just by watching”? That’s always been one of favorite nuggets of baseball philosophy.
