In addition to the Alomar omission, the?BBWA should have voted in?Jack Morris, Lee Smith, and Alan Trammell.? Probably Blyleven too (looks like next year a real posibility).? Despite the difference in Wins and ERA, I think Morris was the more dominating ace pitcher over Blyleven and certainly a bigger star which fits in with the "Fame" component.? The '84 Tigers were too good of a team not to have at least one HoFer.

Took too long, but totally deserved.? Hope he goes in as a Cub. 

I'm astounded that they didn't vote Alomar in. I guess that was punishment
for the spitting incident, but even Hirschbeck said he thought Alomar should
be voted in this year. Guess there's now a moral component to Hall
selection. Lucky for Ruth, Mantle, Cobb, etc. that that wasn't always the
case.
