Yup.  I was at Wrigley the day he stole his 300th base, becoming the second to hit 300 dingers and swipe 300 bags (after Mays).  And you didn't go stretching singles on that guy unless you wanted to get yourself thrown out.

Took too long, but totally deserved.  Hope he goes in as a Cub. 
I'm astounded that they didn't vote Alomar in. I guess that was punishment
or the spitting incident, but even Hirschbeck said he thought Alomar should
e voted in this year. Guess there's now a moral component to Hall
election. Lucky for Ruth, Mantle, Cobb, etc. that that wasn't always the
ase.
