I believe Mark is thinking of Rick Wilton who had to drop out of the league because of, ironically enough, a back injury.  Lawr is a very interesting “dude” who, despite smoking copious quantities of dope, has won the AL Tout Wars league a couple of times.  His obsession with guys like Barry Zito has killed him every year in the XFL.

As Rick correctly identifies, my strategy in the XFL has been all or nothing, with a fairly even split between the two possible outcomes.  I get in a regular discussion with Klein guru Alex Patton about the wisdom of going all in.  Alex doesn’t believe in that approach and he will tell you that explains why he almost always finishes near the top of the standings.  Of course, I always point out the fact that he’s only won once as the reason why I don’t believe in the cautious Patton approach.  It’s all about the victory.

Nice group of photos though, huh?  Talk about a collection of good looking guys.  As you can imagine, we always have groupies hanging around the room after the draft in hopes of snagging a roto expert.  Unfortunately, they’re all over 45 years old, in shorts and sandals with socks, and mis-sized baseball jerseys and, most critically and disappointingly, male.

One of these years I’m going to get one of you to join me down in Phoenix.  It’s the second best weekend of the year after the USML draft.

    Indeed, as I found out with the A. Laffey debacle, if Winick is within striking distance, the man goes for the jugular.  I see that the three times he's finished higher than 7th place in the XFL, he's won every time!  And can one of us replace Michaels?  I see he's never finished higher than 6th place.
