[USML Announce] USML 2017 -- Draft Date and Schedule

All you have to do is show up in the fall.  You'll have no actual role in planning.  You may think you do, but you could be a hologram for all the actual input you'll have.  Just have a life-sized image of yourself mounted on cardboard and have your fiance take it to all the planning stuff.  If necessary, you could also supply a recording of your voice saying, "Great idea, dear.  I love it!"

No one wants you to back out; it will throw off the average age of the league significantly.

Is drafting by phone, either you or a surrogate, an option?

Gentlemen,

It pains me to say that I will no longer be able to participate in this year's draft due to some wedding planning scheduling conflicts that have come up.  I am working on finding a draft proxy, but if anyone has other ideas or suggestions, I am open to hearing them.  My other option was to back out of the league, but given that I have every top prospect in the AL, that seems silly.

  Let the games begin....the 29th USML season will get underway soon.  We have now set a draft date -- it will occur on Sunday, March 19, starting at 8 am at Jeff Winick's offices.  Please make a note on your calendar's to block off that date.

  Now that we have a draft date set, here are the other deadlines that will apply:

March 12:  Retention rosters due

March 16:  Dump-a-dog deadline

March 19:  Draft day

April 2:  MLB Opening day
