It's a tough economy, and some of us can't afford subscriptions to 
Shandler's materials.  Can you at least give us the actual quote?  
Anyway, the Sporting News provides the proletariat with a list of 
auction league "do's" and "don'ts" Perhaps you should take heed of Don't 
#5:  "Hold vendettas against other owners."  (Sporting News Fantasy 
Baseball 2009, p.15; quote from Winick noticeably absent).

As for my early preparation, recall that our draft is next weekend.  And 
in terms of retention rosters, I believe that Dice-K is $1000 
undervalued all by himself.  I am considering signing him to a 
decade-long contract.
